First smartphone Xperia Nyphon set to arrive by Sony

At the end of October Sony has announced about their planning to remove Ericsson brand from their 2012 smartphones. According to the latest rumour the new smartphone codenamed by Nyphon is about to arrive without the Ericsson branding.

So, the new smartphone will sound different from the other launched smartphones. In designs the Xperia Nyphon is very similar to other snartphones of Xperia world, but specifications are improved.

As per the rumours the new Nyphon specifications includes 4 inch qHD display, 8 megapixel Exmor R camera, 1 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. It will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS but expected to upgrade ICS after getting launched.

As the Sony Ericsson will become Sony in mid-2012, so the first smartphone with only Sony brand will also be available around June-July.
